Camp Invention

My son just finished his Camp Invention week long camp. As much as it was STEM I saw a lot of STEAM going on. Students were not just concerned about the mechanics of the PinBug Machine but they were concerned about the design. Below are pictures of my son enjoying the fruits of his labor. What a great way to teach a 6 year old how to collaborate and work as a team member.

Lesson: Study of Cell Parts, Mitosis, and DNA- 5th Grade (Science and Music)

Science Scope. September 2007.

Over the years, the author has developed several lessons in which songs, arts and crafts, drama, and body motions are used to better facilitate student learning in life science.
